Candace Greer Leger is a contemporary abstract painter. She draws her inspiration from the coast, water, nature and her travels. She works with a variety of mediums including high flow and fluid acrylics, oils, watercolors, gouache, charcoal, oil pastels and house paint. Candace begins her process with shapes and negative space and uses layering principles throughout her work. She also uses several watercolor techniques that gives her paintings that soft, watercolor look. Using her creativity as a therapeutic and healing process, Candace's work is considered to be calm, soothing and peaceful. She currently lives in her hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana, with her husband, daughter and rescue pets, and works from her home studio.
